Lori Clark Viviano is a seasoned family lawyer who has served the San Diego community for 25 years. Lori and her experienced staff of attorneys and paralegals represent clients in all divorce, family law, and domestic partnership matters, including the most complicated child custody and financial issues. We have two offices in San Diego; one downtown on Fifth Avenue, and the other serving North County Coast on High Bluff Road in Del Mar. We try cases in all four of the San Diego County court houses, and in neighboring counties such as Riverside and Orange County if necessary.
Over the years we have represented thousands of people from all walks of life, from highly compensated senior executives and business owners, to all of those Moms and Dads who leave home to go to work each day to support their families, to the many local members of our armed forces who proudly serve our Country, and to all of those men and women who choose to stay home and raise children.
Lori meets with each client personally to listen to your concerns and discuss your needs. We take the time to explain how the divorce process works, the legal and financial implications of custody and child support, how property and assets are valued and divided in California, and the mathematics of spousal support. We will explain to you how your divorce may affect taxes, retirement planning, credit ratings, and a myriad of other topics.
Divorce can be stressful and liberating at the same time. Our philosophy is to guide you through the entire process as painlessly as possible so that you can get on with your life. Along the way we will vigorously defend your best interests to ensure that you get everything to which you are entitled.
We understand that in today's economy it is important to conserve funds and not to engage in costly litigation unless absolutely necessary. Lori is a longstanding member of the San Diego Certified Family Law Specialists (CFLS) and she actively participates in the broader family law community. Lori enjoys strong relationships with many other local attorneys, accountants and family experts. Although we love and admire our San Diego Judges, we always attempt to resolve as many issues outside the courthouse as possible to save our client's money and reduce your risk. When it becomes necessary to go to court to present your case before a judge, rest assured that we always play to win!
What about the children?
Many troubled marriages involve children. We are keenly aware of the emotional, physical, and financial effect that divorce has on children. Whenever parents are under stress you can be certain that your children feel stressed too. Breaking up a family and figuring out what to do about the children is usually the most difficult and emotional part of divorce. We have developed a strong network of child therapists and counselors to help our clients' children if necessary.
At the Law Office of Lori Clark Viviano we act in the best interests of your children. In most cases it is better for both parents to interact with their children during the divorce process and afterward. Whether you are Mom or Dad you can rest assured that Lori will protect your parental rights.
In addition to divorce, Lori has developed a great deal of experience working with couples who are contemplating marriage, and wish to protect certain assets or property through the use of prenuptial or postnuptial agreements. It may surprise people to know how many couples are executing these kinds of agreements, which can be very simple and straightforward or highly detailed depending on your circumstances.
